Belfast-Based Analytics Engines Closes $1.6M For Its Big Data …

Analytics Engines — a Belfast-based company that has developed a suite of plug-in ‘software accelerators’ allowing for complex analytics and real-time processing of Big Data in finance, genomics, and utilities — has closed a $1.6m/£1m funding round.

The investment will be used to speed up productisation and exploitation of IP, and expand the company’s global footprint. The company has partnered with Philips Healthcare, SAP, Credit Suisse and others.

Dr Stephen McKeown, CEO of Analytics Engines, says the company’s platform is capable of reducing some tasks which formerly took hours to perform to minutes.
