Four European stock indexes resume trading after glitch …

LONDON (MarketWatch) — The main indexes in Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Lisbon resumed trading on Thursday, after failing to open at the usual time of 9 a.m. local time. The failure was due a technical incident, a spokesperson from exchange operator Euronext ENX, +0.15% said. In late-morning action, France’s CAC 40 index PX1, +0.25% was up 0.1% at 4,378.16, the Dutch AEX index AEX, +1.18% rose 0.3% to 425.34. Belgium’s BEL 20 BEL20, +0.20% gained 0.1% at 3,268.45 and Portugal’s PSI 20 PSI20, +1.56% rose 0.6% to 5,322.53. While the indexes were all closed, the individual stocks in those indexes had been trading as usual.
