WASHINGTON, December 23, 2014 – As a public service, we’re listing dates, times and settlement dates for U.S. and Canadian holiday trading hour from today through the New Year’s holiday.Those trading on international exchanges during the holidays: your mileage may vary. Whether trading on US, Canadian or international markets, check with your individual brokerage or online brokerage house for precise details and be particularly careful about determining settlement dates if you’ll be taking out some cash for the holiday season.Wednesday, December 24, 2014Pre-Market Trading session will take place at its standard time (8:00 AM – 9:25 AM EST).
Equity, option and listed corporate bond trading in US markets will close early at 1:00 PM EST.
All other US fixed income markets will close early at 2:00 PM EST.
After Hours Trading will take place from 1:15 PM – 5:00 PM EST.
Canadian markets will close early at 1:00 PM ET. New GTC orders or changed good ‘til canceled (GTC) orders placed after the close of the US Market on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 will route to the Canadian exchanges on Monday, December 29, 2014.
Day orders for Canadian stocks placed after the market close on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, will be cancelled at the end of the business day on Friday, December 26, 2014.
Dually listed Canadian stocks will trade in the U.S. markets on Friday, December 26th, 2014. Check with your broker for details.
Thursday, December 25, 2014US markets are closed.
There will be no Pre-Market Trading session or After Hours Trading session.
Canadian markets are closed.
New GTC orders or changed GTC orders placed after the close of the US Market on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 will route to the Canadian exchanges on Monday, December 29, 2014.
Day orders for Canadian stocks placed after the market close on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, will be cancelled at the end of the business day on Friday, December 26, 2014.
