Schools, Stock Market and Banks Closed Monday for Presidents …

A number of businesses and services are taking the day off for Presidents’ Day on Monday.

Financial markets, banks, government offices and schools are closed.

There is no regular mail delivery and all post offices are closed except for the main office on Eighth Avenue at 33rd Street in Manhattan.

Alternate side parking rules are suspended, but metered parking is still in effect. There is also no garbage or recycling pick up.

Because of the holiday, subways and buses are running on a weekend schedule.
