A Thud To Close Out The Year
Stocks reversed earlier gains to close lower on New Year’s Eve. Trading volume picked up a bit, but remained light. Leading stocks looked good early in the day, but once again fizzled. This has been a common theme since summer. I don’t know what it’s going to take for companies with the best growth prospects to attract investment. Wondering where the money is going, I checked up on my old favorite, Avis (symbol CAR). Sure enough, this stock is once again approaching all time highs. Rental cars – a booming business that exemplifies the future of American innovation and wealth creation. Electric cars and drones be damned!
2014 was basically an extension of 2013, with a biotech and small cap correction occurring beneath the surface. All signs point to a solid 2015, with more rotation, no doubt.
My allocation accounts remain in TNA as the small caps still hold a modest advantage here.
